>>52520907To be fair, early metas are always incredibly matchup/team reliant because of the insane amount of broken bullshit running around. It was the same way in early Gen 8 and even Gen 7 where if you didn't build with specific mons, you'd just get blown the fuck back.
Give it a few months, it'll calm down to where while you have to use the good mons to get far, you can still win with more off-meta shit
>>52520220Lost to Fairy Bisharp in UU the other day. Was not happy about that one
>>52518005It'll probably fare better in Doubles than it has before, and in stuff like OU it'll get a bit better once the meta settle down.
Honestly, if Ninetales-Alola and Arctozolt come back, it'll be damn good this generation since the buffs help those team archetypes a ton. If Tera stays, Fire Tera Arctozolt probably has no switchins
>>52512570Glimmora will probably serve you well. It sets up hazards ridiculously easily, and in a meta with no Great Tusk/Iron Treads, it'll be able to not only get them up, but keep them up thanks to Goldman
Other than that? Probably Palafin and Espathara. Those are complete shitter killers and I doubt your opps will bring counters to them
