>>52505378>the professor wishing for the tech when it’s explicitly stated the crystals help optimize it insteadReplay the game, the AI states very plainly that there was no way human technology can make an AI as advanced as it is, combined with the log entries from the various research labs that state the professor very strongly wished "if only there were two of me", followed immediately by a passage stating "my brand new assistant is great".
That's not "optimization", to optimize means to take something complete and make the best of it, the AI literally could not be completed without the legendary's wish power.
>citing Arven as somehow being a more reliable source than a supercomputer AIThe AI was essentially a carbon copy of the professor, the professor earnestly believes that they're making a time machine, ergo, the AI also believes this. Both of these guys are wrong, regardless of whether one is a supercomputer.
Not only is Arven the most qualified to call out the inconsistencies of the book, due to actually reading it, the actual point that matters is that the game itself is telling you, the player, that Time Travel isn't the most logical conclusion to this story, shedding doubt on the idea that the professor was right at all. This combined with things like Heath being discredited and the Paradox Pokemon having wildly conflicting backstories is all supposed to give the player the impression that something else is going on.
If you really want to die on the hill that the AI/Professor is right, explain why you can find Occulture magazines in the same place as their research documents in the lighthouse lab. The occulture magazines are canonically referred to as bogus, yet the professor has them because ???
> Heath supposedly making everything up when the field pattern and the unshaven plate are right thereHeath made up everything regarding the Paradox Pokemon and Herba Mystica, the rest, such as details of normal Pokemon and the weird tablet, are legitimate.
