I can put 3 different ingredients with Humungo power into a sandwich, with 3 unique ingredients and sauces that do not decrease Humungo power AND also increase odds of a specific type, yet the game will just straight up tell me to kill myself and give me effects that I literally had no ingredients for in the recipe itself.

How the fuck did they expect Little Timmy to figure out this system when grown ass adults have to make Excel spreadsheets for ONE sandwich?

Flavor affects the output, how I don't know but you can test it yourself by swapping herba mysticas and nothing else. Nobody seems to have cracked that particular code yet, so it's just trial and error. Out of curiosity, are you by chance looking for fairy humungo power? I recently did that myself and have a recipe you could use.

I can tell you right now, humungo power that isn't level 3 isn't going to do shit for you if you're trying for XXXL. Even with Humungo level 3, I still had to catch ~90 Impidimp before I found one that large. If you're cool with XXL though you honestly don't even need Humungo power, it isn't THAT rare.

Honestly the food minigames have so much depth and resources put into them that I doubt Gamefreak had anything to do with them and probably fought against putting them in the games. It's likely they were outsourced.
You can even compare it with customization which GF definitely handled themselves: it's pretty much copy pasted from SwSh and then made clunkier and more inconvenient to use for the sake of pretending the cities have more depth than they actually do. Not only that but it's trivialized by the fact you can't customize tops and bottoms which is the whole point of the feature in the first place. Hell, you'd think in the first game in the franchise to feature an open world coop mode they'd make it so the players didn't fucking look like each other.
Having the cities be half food shops and half clothing shops (if even that) is a fucking joke already, but if the food shit was made by a third party it only makes GF look more incompetent than they already do. At least in SwSh it was out of the way and easily forgettable, now it's like they're getting cucked out of their own game.

NTA but it isn't good because it makes no sense. Even with the internal meal power values added up properly, the flavors of the sandwich completely skew the results and NOBODY knows how. The sandwich making is ludicrously complicated and makes no sense. They are an awesome concept with fucking awful execution and that's not even talking about the clipping.

Have you tried asking an actual chef if a sandwich with x y z ingredients would taste good? Maybe the sammich minigame has some failsafe against cooking shit that wouldn't be tasty IRL if made. Why? Anon 5 servings of rice in this game is an actual fucking mountain of rice and that sandwich would be INSANELY sour and bitter. The herbas have an insane flavor profile, you wouldn't even taste the two servings of curry powder. Also the whole thing would be dry as fuck, there isn't a single wet ingredient.
