>>52543714The cloning technique just requires you to have a copy of your ride in the team, what got patched was the A+B part of the setup, where you send your Ride Legend to the PC and create the clone, but the duplication still remains.
What you do to clone items regardless of version is:
-Put a ride clone on the team, so that you have both battle form ride clone and ride form legend both at the same time.
-Give the ride clone 1 item you want to duplicate
-Select the option to put the clone in ride mode
-Aparently nothing will happen, but the cursor moved to the ride form box legend. This is good.
-Open your pokemon boxes
-Change modes with X until you toggle the Battle Box mode
-Navigate to the special Ride Legend box that only appears when you are on Battle Box mode. It is located between your last and first box, only your ride legend will be there.
-Remove the item it is holding, with this you have already cloned the item.
-Go back to your party menu, check your clone will still be holding the original item.
-Repeat from step 2 to clone the same item as many times as you want. Repeat from step 1 to change items.
Explanation: Ride Legend mode generates a special box so that you can select it for battle box, this instance of the legend box is separated from the clone, that won't disappear from your team if you already had your legend box in ride form when you select to send the clone to ride mode. The clone will override your Ride box completely when you send it to ride mode including stat changes and held item, and like this you can keep cloning items as long as you have clones of the box legend stored in your PC from before patching it.
TL;DR: keep a stash of clones, 1 single clone can give you as many items as you want. But for certain online modes you need to remove the clone from your team, so as long as you keep some clones stored you can indulge in duplication sessions while you don't go online.
