Their one mistake with it was that the big impassable cliff landmass isnt big enough, and from the top of the mountain you can see that it's sorta a relatively small lump, when the reality is it should be the size of the rest of europe (of course, you should be able to see Africa when looking to the south of the map but that's easier to handwave.
