I can understand TPCi wanting overall match time in VGC to be shorter but the amount of face smashers they added this gen compared to ways to staunch an overwhelming offence is really lopsided
No wonder Smogon is slowly banning the entire gen because they don't like hyper offence mirrors that effectively end either way on turn 2

Smogon has always insured stall survives, so yes in the context of their meta only one of the two can exist you absolute idiot. They aggressively ban HO enablers but always ignore stall enablers.

nah but its up there they really dropped about 14 essentially ultra beast tier pokemon into the game via the paradoxs.

While there are very strong pokemon this generation has a lot of just good pokemon with relatively few shitmons thanks to the tons of signature abilities and signature moves they introduced.

I'm not gonna lie, I think it's pretty funny how much Ghouldengo has grown in popularity. When I first saw his leaked pic, I didn't expect him to be as useful as he's been. At the same time, I'm not surprised by Clodsire getting a pretty high rank in usage. Was Quagsire the same way in competitive usage?

Shed tail is a really nice thing though, I'm a little amazed that Smogon hasn't banned it. It not only lets you make a Substitute, but swap out for another Pokemon who can get it. Pretty much a better version of Baton Pass minus needing an extra turn to put down a Substitute and pray it doesn't get broken before you can swap.
