I just used PkHex to edit in 995 ability patches and then sold them for max money. The only thing I can't buy is exp candy but I do raids for those.

I know, and from my experience with other games, glitching a ton of things in a grindy game just makes it empty and pointless.
I hated grinding GTAO, though sometimes I didn’t mind it, then I glitched myself a billion dollars worth of cars and property which I sold a quarter of, and I quit the game a few months after I’ve done that because it became POINTLESS to do anything. This is why I’ve avoided any kind of dupe glitch in any game I’ve played afterwards, it makes your copy a waste of money.

It takes roughly 8 hours to get 50 shards of a designated type and that's assuming you can find enough raids for the type you want in the first place and that you don't fail any. Also there is no convenient EV training method so you also have to spend about 20-30 min killing shitmons tediously. They wanted people to cheat

A couple of hours per item if you want to get a full stack of 999. But there aren't that many unique items, just the special balls and ability patches. You can sell ability patches for enough to just buy 6 caps and have some left over.

It's a stockpile, or insurance if you will. Once you have a lot of clones you can take one out of the box in the event you need to dupe more, since you can't create more clones after updating to the new version.

This is the dupe

If you repeat the A+B step at the start you can put multiple legendaries in your box instead of just 1. You can save those for later when you update the game after the A+B part is patched out in 1.1.0

I'm not sure duping is really beating out sandwich boosted raids and atleast in the case of those i'm not feeling dead inside.
If you have a way to automate it, cool; but its not really that astronomically slow to farm if you do it right. Its just that the needed amount is stupid.

Just remember to remove the items from the duped legendaries before.

A+B is how you get the duped legendary. That's what got patched
Whether you have the duped legendary in your party or some in your box, you can dupe in the current patch

I agree generally, but somehow doing glitches and arbitrary code execution in emerald fascinates me to this day. It's almost like grinding the game a different way because some things are pretty tricky to do and take a lot of tries.

I think i am ready to patch now. I dont even know if i want to save a dupe. I have a good amount of resources now, and i dont think i ever want to do the dupe again because towards the end i seriously started questioning my sanity

Then I updated and had a friend trade me 30 ability patches, 30 gold bottle caps and 30 XL candies

shinies are visible in the overworld sprite

so you can watch it kill the shiny in front of you before it can be called back

Apply an ability patch to every fully evolved Mon.
Then you'll never need another one, you can just breed for more.

And everything else you can buy or grind off shitmons on a per-need basis if you ever run out, money is piss easy to get in this game.

It does not. Your pokemon will shake their head no and leave them alone. The same animations that play when they can't cross water or a pokemon is flying off a cliff they can't reach.

It's a weird way of doing multiple rolls too. If you roll rarer stuff it rolls fewer times.

Also what you fought determines drops too. Though mostly just which EV wing, mints, herbs, and treasure it drops.
Things give the wing and mint that matches their primary EV stat.
Things that give HP EVs give all 5 herbs though because there's no HP+ mints.
The treasure is star bits for atk/spa, pearl bits for def/spd, mushrooms for HP/spe.

Fuck, I've done dozens of raids trying to get herbs, and the only rare drop I've gotten have been patches and bottle caps, although 90% of the time I get jack shit.

Honestly, I feel like with how janky the raids are, a rare drop should be a bit more common. I'm not saying that they should be a guaranteed thing, but getting 1 herb after 20 or so raids is bull shit.
