I think that's probably the reason. Even bad pokemon designs are thought of more fondly as they age, and good designs that are older become the gold standard. Give Hisuian Lilligant more time and more people will probably like it.

Because PLA doesn't take place in the present. PLA is also a sidegame, so no one really places it unless you're into pokemon that much. Not only that, she was only in one game, while Lilligant is in many. Unless she added into the main game, of course Hisuian version of any pokemon would get forgotten. Hell, I bet most anons didn't know that Scyther has alternate evo, and if you show Kleavor to a random person, they would think its Kleavor isn't an evolved form.

Lilligant is an adorable little grass ballroom dancer lady, while H-Lilligant isn't as much

I don't like its smaller head flower, shorter leaf "hair" and the removal of her leaf dress. It is still Lilligant though so I still like it somewhat, just not nearly as much. It'll probably grow on me more if/when I use it in battle
