This is the only Paldean gym pokemon that has 4 moves, say something nice about it.

These moves aren’t the issue anon, it’s the fact it’s on Petilil’s weak ass. Brassius should’ve either been Gym 1 or he should’ve used stronger Pokémon.

This is why it should get an evo instead. Megas are a shitty gimmick that waste development time and it’s hard to get attached to the design because it’s not used out of battle or it’s a pain in the ass to get.

Nearly every Pokémon that isn’t a three stager should get their Mega retconned into an evolution and the 3 stagers/those that are too powerful should receive buffs, some of them taking after their Mega.

Evo or its own pokemon. They did well by making Roaring Moon and Metal Gardevoir their own pokemon instead of being another form. I love my Roaring Moon so much!

Roaring and Valiant are great because they’re alternative takes on already fully evolved Pokémon. Altaria should get an Evo and Megas should be retconned out in a soft reboot.

Sorry anon, I thought you were meaning only those moves were the problem.

That said, what else does Petilil really get to counter Grass resists? Lilligant is pretty infamous for being somewhat decent but being hard wall by Grass resists. I guess even a Normal-type move would’ve helped, but still.

Pollen puff would work, and coming off petilil's meager stats the 90bp wouldn't really be an issue. That or giving it tera blast as a normal type attack without actually using tera. Alrernatively let it set up with sunny day, and change his team to benefit more from sun.

as far as random trainers are concerned, we're already here. I'm fighting the E4 now and I doubt I've fought 5 trainers who had more than 2 Pokemon.
