That's why I like the second versions of the games because they do mix it up and it feels fresh but the intended experience of recreating the R/B/G experience is there and it does what they set out to do. Is it for everyone all the time? No. But that's all I'm saying. You don't have to like it but plenty of people like the colorized version of a game they played way before with abilities, shinies, etc. It also made playing the original games more accessible to those that wanted the quality of life changes to begin with.
