My biggest grievance to the game is ugly characters, no lolis, many browns and lesbians, less than half of all Pokemons included, bad graphics that ressemble of the Gamecube, bad music, bugs, glitches

That's the point though. It's one thing to overlevel, it's another entirely when you just fight a guy with -one- (1) pokemon and then it's over and you get only a small pittance for your trouble even with an amulet coin. It's joyless and depressing.

But yea, trainer battles aren't mandatory for any kind of progression like they were in previous games. They can stand to have their difficulty jacked up considerably.

>always have at least have a many mons as you are carrying
>aces, veterans, and dragon tamers have 1-2 pokemon always but are 10 levels higher than your highest level pokemon in your party

Trainers are easily the worst part of the actual gameplay. They're such an afterthought I wonder why they even bothered. If trainers are entirely optional now, they should at least have some decent teams.
