Rocket's Zapdos ex, secret rare Zapdos from Supreme Victors, Rocket's Zapdos from challenge, and then he comes across Zapdos from Aquapolis and learns about eseries cards and their amazing art.
Because these pokemon still exist in the franchise and don't retire, there will always be demand for them. Kids aren't as invested in older cards compared to modern due to their exposure and knowledge and price. You can easily go and buy the alt art galarian zapdos for less than $100. But it would be difficult to get a 1st Edition Rocket's Zapdos for that price.
