>>52538310Visually it's kind of annoying and probably could be better even if some pokemon admittedly become kind of stylish and majestic with the crystallized effects and giant hats. Even with how garish it is.
Kind of annoying how it prolongs the attack animations by so much though.
But it's really stylish how they explode in slow motion when the terastilization is broken.
And mechanically, yeah. It's easily my favourite.
Unlike megas, it's actually applicable to every pokemon. So no pokemon is ignored and neglected. And you don't have to warp your team by including a pokemon that has a mega just to take advantage of the powerful gimmick.
But even unlike dynamaxing or z-moves, terastallizing is a lot more dynamic. With every pokemon being able to have any tera-type. While megas and dynamaxing are tied to that pokemon's specific transformation, and the z-moves being tied to the move selection.
The thing that really makes it is that terastallizing can be used both offensively and or defensively. And the specific tera type in question can shift how well it works offensively versus defensively. Not just one or the other, and it defends on the tera type. Which you have the ability to influence or choose. And it's available for all pokemon.
