Aside from fan hype why has the anime ever confirmed that Cynthia is the strongest or highly above other Champions like the anime did with Leon? She's never swept an opponent yet compared to him. Even Flint lasted shorter than he did with her.

Yes she has. She swept Lucian, Aaron, and Paul. Flint only managed to KO two Pokémon because it was a 6v6. Against Leon it was a 1v1

Leon swept a Champion and a Champion-ish opponent not his obviously weaker Elite Four (replace Gym Leaders here) and a newb that even Alder did.

Leon is the strongest because they constantly reaffirm it in all the spinoffs, but Cynthia has a harder team. It's just that her harder team is irrelevant.
It's like saying Kyogre is actually more powerful than Arceus in canon because its specs water spout in rain can win in a 1v1. No one fucking cares, certainly not the official sources.

That wasn’t the point of contention. The point was Cynthia swept an opponent compared to him. OP said “Flint lasted shorter” when his battle was a 1v1 against Leon and 6v6 against her.

Lance was a Champion in OS and then somehow became an Elite Four member and then Champion again. That makes two Champions he’s defeated.

That’s two compared to Cynthia defeating only Elite Four members and defeating a child and losing to another.

Nope. Lance was explicitly said to have been a Champion. Losing his title and regaining it is far different than a little girl who left as a newb and became Champion. Unless you're implying that Lance is weaker than Iris and she's been a Champion/E4 longer right?

Even if he defeat Lance on E4 level (which is a head canon cope) you can't deny he didn't do it on even ground where both aces were utilizing a gimmick. Compare this with the fact Leon's based Charizard ended Alain so quickly but yet Mega Chomp was struggling to land a Dragon Claw. Mind you Alain is higher than Iris.

Leon has better feats

A Champion doesn't lose their title no more than a president does. It's called "former" Champion. And the next episode we see Lance he's a Champion so he was always in between unlike Iris and Flint.

You're using binary thinking to support your argument to make Cynthia look better by ignoring the context.

Lance has been Champion since OS and Iris since JN. Lance is significantly older than Iris and thus has been a Champion longer.

Cynthia losing to Ash but being able to beat Leon should not be a hard concept. That's just how bracket tournies work. It's about determining the best, not the second best or any other ranking. If you want a ranking, round robin is superior.
