They can't, even with HOME, they can't scan for dupe items but can with Pokemon. With pokemon though, dont put the dupe into HOME, as long its stays in your game, it will be fine.

Even assuming there's a lot of people rewatching because they forgot steps and that it's more like 100k people that have been duping that's 100k people they'd have to ban and 100k people that can't consoom whatever $30 expansion they put out.

So they marked all clones with an X mark and left the first one for each individual Pokemon
You won’t be able to tade the cloned and I think you cannot transfer to Home
Now imagine what they do when they find 30 lizards in Box 1
