>>52568909you're the fucking zoomer dumbass, learn what you're talking about.
>>52568952>>52568986>Timmie refers to a young/noobish player>Timmies can be considered a normie, maybe a bit dumberYou're both also misusing the term. And it's spelt with a -y, not a fucking -ie like a retard.
A Timmy is not a young player, a normalfaggot, or a noob. Timmy isn't even necessarily bad, in fact a lot of things that appeal to the Spike also appeal to the Timmy (Historically Tyranitar for example if a very Timmy Pokemon, as are most Legendaries). It has nothing to do with skill, experience or knowledge - it's about what the player wants.
Spike's a Smogon cocksucker - .He plays what is meta, likely stole his team from someone else, and only wants to climb his tier and win as consistently as possible. His enjoyment is in the number of wins. Timmy wants not just to win, but to blow his opponent away. A Spike gets equal enjoyment from a game that goes down to 1v1 as he does a 6-0 sweep. A Timmy craves the big sweep, even if it's less likely to happen. Conversely, a Spike will mostlikely be upset about losing every single time - a Timmy has the fortitude to blow off some losses so long as he's able to get his big win.
It's a difference in priorities, and it's not unoften that the 2 overlap in function. And many Spikes are shit players, and still get their ass handed to them regularly. A Spike is by no means a better player than a Timmy - he just desperately wants to be, and that's his motivation
