Battle animations are the worst they've ever looked and you can't even turn them off anymore to speed up raids which are straight up busted, softlock game, damage/move effects get calculated out of order, etc.

the thing where walking up to NPCs makes a speech bubble appear is actually kind of genius since so much of their text was already not substantive and it just speeds up the process. but ideally they would give sidequests and stuff like in Arceus.
