How much lower can we expect the bar to go? I'm at the point where I'm getting impressed by how good Let's Go Pikachu looks.

They had normal mapping but no textures like in SV.

However, I still prefer LA because they finally fixed the washed out colours for many Pokémon such as Pikachu as you can see in that image posted above. Compared to SV's Pikachu it's night and day.

They were touched up a bit. The most notable difference is that the faces were modeled instead of just being 2D textures. The real improvement was giving all of the Pokemon more animations, like walking and multiple idle stances. That trend continued in Scarlet/Violet.

Another good example is Parasect, who was one of the Pokémon that suffered the most from the switch to 3D models, colour-wise.

I think that's just a lighting issue, your PLA screenshot is bright as fuck while this one is muted as fuck. I don't know what kind of filters they keep putting on their games but I can't say I'm a fan of it.
