I literally don't know what's happening when I do these. The early ones are so basic at least people are just knocking it's HP out in one go. But the late game ones? The HP bar will randomly go to zero then suddenly, the enemy will pop up a shield and have HP again. Sometimes I don't get to move for 7 turns in a row.

I just, I just don't know what's going on.

Part of me thinks that there wasn't enough testing done with this mechanic, because there are moments where the real time results make sense, and then it just turns into absolute fucking stupid moments like what you said OP.

It was slow, sure, but at least the raids in SwSh made fucking sense, and I understood what needed to be done =at that moment= when things happen instead of after the fact. Seeing attacks popping off and raids failing when there's more time and health remaining is infuriating.

Are raids the reason they removed the ability to turn off animations, because they want them to run out your timer? They made me absolutely loathe the extra little animation your Pokemon does before using their tera STAB move.

I don't think so. I had the animations turned off in SwSh and when I did online dynadens, I still had to sit through all the animations. There's no reason they couldn't do that here where offline = no animations and anything online, including co-op, is forced to have animations for syncing purposes.

Did Legends remove the ability to turn off animations? I don't remember. Did it start with that game?

Is there a way to break the shield faster? The game says to use terastralizing but that doesnt do anything.

Also, whats up with belly drum users doing 1 attack and then nothing for a while. It reallys doesnt seem to help at all beyond the first easy part. once the shield is up and stat changes are negated, they just die instantly.

and another thing, whats up with the Health Up cheer? sometimes it does 100%, sometimes barely 25%

I have pretty grounded expectations for GF but I really didn't expect them to fuck up the online even further than swsh. This is a feat in itself. Gen 10 will have fucking DSL as its netcode.

Yes you can’t turn off animations in Legends, I imagine it has to do with whatever system they are using to have battles not take place in an instance

If your Tera type is super effective against the enemy AND you use a Tera boosted move the shield breaks faster. If you Tera your skeledirge into fire type and then use shadow ball on a ghost type enemy it doesn’t do anything extra.

The worst part is when you're a little too fast and the pokemon waits, doing fucking nothing for twenty seconds, locking you out of your choices and then finally throws it's shield up. All the while the ticket continues to tick down.

It has the potential to be good but it's just so fucking slow
Even in solo 5-star raids I'm rushing against the clock because of how slow it is
