Same, but I don't try to hide it. I gen the shiny Pokemon I think look good and give away any legit shinies I find to my autistic friends who care about that kinda stuff.

Hatching is literally 75% less effective then just eating the correct sandwich and going to where the pokemon spawns.

The only exception to this is the starters basically.

I'm open about the shinies I use being genned, but once Gen 8 got Home connectivity, I genned a bunch of valuable shinies in Gen 7 (never modded my Switch) and presented them as real to trade for mons I wanted. More specifically, I just say they're shiny without specifying they're counterfeited.
And no one will ever know.

Do you literally not know what Masuda Method is in 2022? It's been around for more than half the franchise's lifespan

Eggs aren't even close to the fastest way to get shinies now. The only reason to egg shiny hunt is if you can't find them in the wild.

It really depends on the Pokémon you're hunting. I would rather just MM a shiny for certain Pokémon than fiddle with my clock until I find an outbreak personally, even if it is slower either way.

It's really isn't if some pokemon shiny is so hard to see or the terrain is making them hard to spawn. It's much safer to hatch eggs and don't miss your shiny.
