Making Lance the champion in Gen 2 was kind of a bad decision in retrospect. It should've been his son. Have Lance be a postgame battle in Dragon's Den or something.

His son could've used Tyranitar as his ace, and had a full kaiju/monster-themed team.

swap kingdra for ttar, since its clairs mon, and swap ampharos for lapras. lapras doesnt SCREAM "dragon" either, but its better than ampharos in a non-mega world
