>>52602327>What else are you going to use? The good options were nerfed, dexcut or banned. But if they're cleaners that can't reliably be set up for, surely they wouldn't actually be good? Your argument that forcing progress is so unreliable in this tier doesn't match the reality that these are extremely common, successful mons despite their reliance on chip. Also, don't you think you're being a little picky if "the good options" to you don't include Garchomp, the Tapus, Heatran, the Ultra Beasts, Victini, and fucking Blaziken?
>and "you can win early if you luck multiple Scald burns on switch-ins with your tank" isn't the argument you think it is.I just posted all the finals replays to avoid picking and choosing. The more important thing to see in that replay is that even with his big physical attackers getting haxed early, he was still able to force progress by combining them with Future Sight Lele (granted, it was too little too late since he didn't have much to exploit that hole with at that point).
>If the game went to 132 turns, clearly I'm not. It's a long game but it's not like nothing died all game, Knock Off and Future Sight were putting in work and opened the door for Rillaboom to more or less win the game 70 turns in. It's fine if you just don't like long games but it's wrong to say that you couldn't force progress that game. Even Finch could have made headway if he was able to get Dragapult in more often.
>Gen 8 is abysmal and I just don't understand the people who simp for it.It's not my gen of choice either, Gen 7 was just more fun and had more variety than the other fairy gens. I just think calling it a stallfest is unfair, Weavile alone is a really insane progress-maker if you play it right.
