This was a common fan idea for 2 decades, and now GF finally did it. Well, newsflash, I'm sorry but it was ALWAYS a dumb idea. Snow SHOULD DECREASE SPEED of all non-Ice Types.

The REASON people want snow to increase Defense is pure autism. Because then, it perfectly mirrors the Rock buff of Sandstorm. Well that's fucking retarded, I don't care about your autistic need for perfect symmetry. This desire for a Defense buff is superficial, it does not come from an honest analysis of what Ice Types actually need. Buffing Ice defensively is NICE but also POINTLESS. It will never be a "good" defensive Type, Ice Type will always be a defensive burden to all mons who have it. Band-Aid-ing their Defense is just making something very shitty be slightly LESS shitty. Literally no fucking point. Ice Types excell at being glass canons, PLEASE STOP trying to make a fish better at climbing trees.

Snow decreasing Speed MAKES SENSE, winter weather is dangerous and causes everything to slow down, anyone who has driven in snow knows this. And a speed buff is DRASTICALLY MORE FUCKING USEFUL to Ice Type. Jesus Christ, do you have ANY IDEA how many Ice Types would skyrocket to OU if Snow let them outspeed most opponents??!
