I finally see why this mon is broken.

>dark terratype to bypass prankster taunt
>shed tail with its speed and regenerator
>stab Draco
>overheat for steel type
>ghost immunity
>sitrius berry synergizes with regenerator and shed tail
>4 resistance with dragon typing

This thing is insanely good, better than I previously thought.

I still wish that Miridon and Koridon were replaced with a special Cyclizar so we could use this based boy for the entire game. Then it wouldn’t be broken to use him in a fight.

Love cyclizar, feels like it can fit onto any non stall team and have a major positive impact. And it's a cool design to boot.
Probably going to get banned this gen, hopefully they nerf regenerator someday and it's allowed to come back.

This, Cyclizar feels like such a mid pokemon. It can do...something, but under real threats and this shit will get folded fast. I dont have much hope in a mon that needs multiple pivots to pull off what its trying to do. You need to Tera this fuck right ontop of running its gimmick set that relies on its gimmick ability and what's worse the set doesn't even hit hard since it needs varied options to switch him out. Some good shit to annoy your normie friends, but will die in no time in actual comp

I actually like Cyclizar better than the legendaries in some ways. He’s a cool dude. Granted I also ish he had alternate forms in battle for glide, swim, and climb that were dragon flying, dragon water, and dragon ground respectively

Shed tail + regenerator + 121 speed alone is a big deal in singles, less so in doubles. It also hits decently hard physical as well so when you’re done giving substitutes you can wack something

Shed Tail should've just been 25% HP loss for user + switch + equivalent health healed for switch-in. Still would've been really good, especially with regenerator, but not completely busted. Essentially just a truncated and less potent wishpass.

Having just a crystalline covering would have been fine, if difficult to show what Tera type that it was, but the head ornament is just so distracting

Granted that Palafin would be doing most of the work with Wave Crash or something.
It'd be a fun guessing game, not so much for the opponent though.

Yeah but it'd at least keep Dragonite from being able to switch in for free. The heal would happen on the switch, so anything slower than Cyclizar would hit Dragonite for at least something to break Multiscale. A sub's worth of Cyclizar's HP as healing would still get chunked by most attacks on a switch. Still good healing overall but at least if you can't do 25% damage on the switch you aren't faced with a potential setup mon with full HP and a sub, and you can status on the switch too.
