Quaquaval is peak soul and personality. I love how full of itself it is and how it calls for praise when it it wins a battle. Also its has such a great idle in battle. Its not perfect, and not my favorite Pokemon, but as far as humanoid Pokemon go, its honestly one of my favorites. Shame most people give it shit because their to insecure about their own sexuality to like a flamboyant Pokemon.

The new starters are meant to be entertainers. Dirge is just the only tankmon of the trio(which isn’t new as Gens like 3 and 6 had 2 speedsters and one defender)

I chose duck despite learning from leaks how it looks, mostly because other option didn't suit me either. It was bit disturbing at first looking how it always keeps moving in battle but now I find it totally fine. Amount of backlash it gets is way overblown. Maybe too much Blaziken-esque but still quite cool nonetheless.
