They hate the existing fanbase and want to filter them out of the series by making sneaky, precise changes to the games that any observant long time fan would get mad about, but it’s minor enough that everyone else will gaslight them for caring about it. This way, they get the long time fans to leave while the drones (the REAL paypigs) stay
Like…. guys… they added the option to skip the nicknaming prompt, because it’d be tedious to press B every time you caught a mon, but they removed the exp share since you can just only have 1 Pokémon in your party at all times and constantly swap it out to get the same effect, and they removed the set option cause… you can just press B every single time….
No human on earth lacks this much self awareness, they’re doing it on purpose and they think it’s funny
