Genuinely never realized people hated Ampharos. Shouldn’t be surprised on /vp/ but I thought even this place appreciated it. Always seemed like one of the Gen II favorites over the years.

Also worth noting, certain "jobs" work better as concepts than others. Boxing really just comes down to throwing punches, so it being a punching mushroom dino-roo fits both the vague kangaroo thing, and Pokemon's general need for Pokemon to be combat ready.

Something like a 007 spy or a fucking soccer player are so incredibly specific that weaving them in feels clunky and forced. If the extent to those jobs were "is stealthy", and "primarily fights using kicking", their concepts would feel way the fuck better, as theyre losely connected enough to their ideas while also providing useful natural advantages.
