Am I playing the Pokemon game? Or am I playing the MC who is playing the Pokemon game?

Do transferred Pokemon from previous games recognize me? They don't seem to be friendly with the new MC.

Maybe it's autism, but I headcannon that I'm just being reincarnated into different bodies through some Mystery Dungeon tier shenanigans and that I'm the exact protagonist for most games. I can't do this for stuff like Red/Blue to Gold/Silver for obvious reasons or BW to BW2, so I like to pretend that I went through Crystal > Emerald > Platinum > Black > Violet. I've still been meaning to play all the games I've kinda skipped

My head canon is that since when you transfer, it says the Pokemon traveled through time and space from where you transferred it, my each of my characters are in a alternate universe. It sounds dumb, but that's what I run with.
