I don't want stock standard kantomons taking up most of the dex and encounters like Sinnoh but the numons suck and look like shit

Sometimes I've never used one before. And would like to use it when it fits my team and is in the region.

Thing is though, the National Dex isn't about that. It's about being able to bring forward all my teams in the postgame.

I catch them all, but always use new pokemon for the current gen, unless designs are shit. Really enjoyed Alola Pokedex, but kind of want to use Garchomp in SV, not impressed with dragons there.

Not them, but yeah. 90% of every every new roster's shit, so I either b-line for my faves, inject em, or transfer ones I bred and prepped beforehand.
I really don't care about playing the nth rendition of Satoshi's bastardized bug collection vision, I just wanna enjoy an RPG that lets me choose cute animal monsters as my "playable characters"
