Over 60% of players need to agree in order to take any tiering action at all, and even the famously ban-loving tournament players are only barely over 60% agreement that anything should be done at all.
And the majority of players who do think tiering action is required think it just needs to be restricted, not outright banned. Not even half of the tourneyfags who think tiering action is required think it should be a ban.
So even if the vote does manage to swing in favor of action, banning is unlikely.
They're probably just going to do what VGC is doing and show tera types at team preview.
I don't like that idea and think it'll just make it more of a "rich gets richer" mechanic, but it seems like the most likely option.
