Hakama. Rune Factory but set in Pokemon world's past, using pokemon in place of tools like having a Bibarel to chop wood, Diglett to plow fields etc. Also being in the pokemon setting means no cringe shitty romances.

Honestly this. Unite treats their Pokemon characters better than any game with their soulful animations and in-game accurate battling style. Also I adore Detective Pikachu (Video Game). I heard the TGC online is pretty good too.

I feel like Bamco or fAtlus could do good things if they actually got a budget and the latter didn't immediately default to SMT style. Both have plenty of experience with pokemon style games via Digimon and SMT/Persona, and they've been around nearly as long. I'd actually like to see what Sucker Punch and Naughty Dog could come up with given their forte is completely different. Hell, I'd even be interested in a 100% first-party Nintendo pokemon game given the AAA treatment.

fAtlus already makes "Pokemon, but better" kind of games in SMT, so they would be my choice
But really, Pokemon is so simple, literally any developer could mog Gamefreak if given the IP.

The interesting question is, which developer would make a WORSE game than GameFreak?

SMT 4 have evolution mechanic if am i remember correctly. Atlus can make another spin-off outside demikids but with adult atmosphere instead with evolution mechanic. Onmoraki evolve into Mandrake, Angel into High Angel and then into Power. Makes Archangles legendary tier, same thing with demons. Cute ones can be treat like a starters.

Cyberconnect 2 (Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series developer) would be the perfect team to tackle Pokemon's artstyle. If we want battles that look like the anime, look no further. There are shit tons of characters in the Storm games, all with dozens of high quality anime-style animations. Cyberconnect 2 could easily spread that level of quality around for all the Pokemon in gen 10

Monolithsoft for sure. I don't know that anyone else could handle it. Not that monolith are my favorite devs or anything (I do like them a lot) but I Xenoblade sets them up perfectly to be able to handle it.

scarlet and violet had monoliftsoft employees working on it, the same field design team as Xenoblade chronicles 3 and breath of the wild AND the same QA as breath of the wild.
obviously cutting game freak out of the equation would result in a better game but if monoliftsoft had game freaks time constraints the game would probably still end very lackluster

There's not a single company that is guaranteed to make something good. Some companies have specific teams that make good content, but those teams are rarely allowed to work on a game from the ground up, they just usually put out the fires after shit made by other teams hits the fan.

Bandai Namco. They made a great job with Pokken and New Pokemon Snap, especially with the graphics. Also both games have option for Japanese voices. Bandai Namco also worked with Nintendo for Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U.
