I honestly do not understand the rage over Dexit. I have been playing Pokémon since 2006, it's my main fandom/interest, and when they announced it I was like "Oh, OK then." and haven't thought about it ever since besides when I see people still losing their shit over it.

There are 1008 Pokemon now, and that number is only going to keep getting bigger every gen. And now that we have an open world, following Pokemon, and better animations, the reasons they gave actually hold up.

Funnily enough, i remember talking about a dexit discussing being tossed in vp around even before swordshit. People were split on it (still are tbqh).

It's incredibly simple. From the perspective of the player, there is no reasonable downside to not include all of the Pokemon.
No, them not having resources or whatever bullshit they're trying to feed you is not the problem of the player.

In my opinion it’s not such a huge deal, if it was actually for a decent reason. If we got quality games with effort put into them, instead of the same looking garbage year after year, people wouldn’t bring it up so much. But we don’t and also there’s fucking home which is a way to keep your pokemon hostage behind a subscription for when they decide to implement them again. They didn’t even tell people the full story before they had them transfer them over. Funny how much this sounds like official ransomware huh..

more like the jump to the switch had high expectations and people were hoping pokemon would join the ranks of Mario Odyssey and BoTW but instead took like 10 steps back. at this point I barely have any expectations for GF so I'm not as phased that SV turned out as rushed as it is
