They're gonna go back to PokeJapan for Gen 10, right?
It would make the most sense to take the series home in the tenth generation. Better that than some random ass Italy based Generation.

that would track for gen 5/6 (legendaries based on the three musketeers in the gen before the french region) but i think that's the only example of that happening before. it would definitely make a bit more sense but i dont really expect them to do it

Tohoku, western Shikoku, a more proper Chubu region in game, mostly north, and most of Shugoku. That's all left of Japan.
