I really don't get why anons are so hellbent on trying to say "SV's (X) theme is better than SwSh's (X) theme" since SV tried to lift a lot of shit from SwSh's direction and failed at it.
Case in point, look at the gym leader theme(s).
Both had a gimmick of trying to use chanting to hype up the last Pokemon (which was mogged from Gen 5 remixing the Pokemon theme), but SwSh pulls it off since every stage of the theme is buildup, so by the time the crowd joins in, it feels like a climax. Even if you don't like the rave theme, there's a point to it all; it's a spectacle that the crowd is hyping up.

Jazz isn't bad, but it needs freedom - the music needs to evolve on its own, but instead is artificially pushed and pulled. By the time the chanting starts, the entire song just... warps into something completely different. It doesn't feel like the last stop on a hype train, it feels like someone holding up a sign that says "applause."
