I think I had another tape that had the 3 episodes where Ash fights Sabrina and loses, gets a Haunter, then fights Sabrina again and wins.
>>52674714It's weird rewatch the first season(s) now and seeing what they were able to get away with. Of course, it's nothing genuinely shocking, but you're definitely not seeing an episode where a bunch of people point guns in the protagonists face again. It's like comparing the first Animal Crossing game to New Leaf/Horizons. The first game, while absolutely kid friendly, had a bit of a bite to it. It had some snark and personality and wasn't afraid to call the player mean, schoolyard names. The newest games sanded away every ounce of potential rudeness and what you're left with is incredibly bland villagers that might as well say nothing at all now. I miss the snark, in both Pokemon and Animal Crossing.
