I actually liked GX more than the original series. The Pharaoh sharing a body with a Twink kid to play card games was pretty gay. Jayden going through school with his friends was pretty fun.

As someone who's rewatched GX multiple times over the years I can't contain my excitement. GX is so comfy, it's got that sweet mid 2000's feel to it, I can see the same happening with summery Paldea.

I really hope so, and have some faith with how Paldea league is set up. Trainers become Champion RANK, not the one and champion. There is very little risk to lore continuity as they can keep Geeta up as the default champ forever without having to explain anything if the new protagonist won and also became a champion.

I'd say the perfect arc might be a Kanto - Johto style where the first region is for learning and fumbling, and the second region would give us a more confident and experienced protagonist.

I'm going to be the faggot that says it. I very much enjoyed the first season of Arc V. The duels were fun, I thought the cast was given ample screen time. But the second the show went into its next arc. It shit the bed. Part of the blame was switching writers between seasons. But the scope of the show was way beyond what the writers could have dealt with.

Sevens is shit for a lot of reasons but mainly because rush duel is ass
it's a zoomer's idea of yugioh yet relies on nostalgia for all the monsters, it also has no TCG stuff except that one shit game so it appeals to nobody

GX was pretty good in a lot of ways. The duels were way more grounded to the actual game(not really the originals fault as the game was in its fetal stages) and the supporting cast was more interesting with all their own arcs. Jaden sucks shit tho

Arc-V was shit, but it was fucking entertaining and watching it with /a/ was one of the most memorable experiences I've had on this site.
SwSh was just shit, not entertaining. I don't think there's a single pokemon game that's so bad it was entertaining.
