>>52671055In an ideal scenario I feel like you, the skilled artist, could make a model sheet/turnaround for an obscure character and feed that into the AI for easy usage, but I also feel like it'll take quite a while before it actually advances to that point (though that'd leave a good amount of time to polish up your own skill). Until then, I won't give AI art a second glance until it can actually be used to give obscure characters some love.
>>52671325I know Deviantart has fallen off a long time ago for several reasons but it also has the exact same problem, you can try to search for a character like Misty and have the results totally swamped by AI stuff, and when all of that "art" is stacked side-by-side you get to see how genuinely samey it all looks right now.
