It's a bitter sweet feeling. This has been long overdue and will allow for more consistent story telling and a more intriguing anime, if they play their cards right.
That being said Ash has been a part of my life since childhood so it's sad to know it's over. And the ending special is going to break me, but in a good way.
I'm excited to see where anipoke goes from here.

This his character kind of just vanished, I think by Best wishes he really felt the most off mainly because ash never felt like he grew into a different person, he just became slightly off. As far I can tell he never really felt the same again in the newer seasons ether.
