>>52685376they mention it twice in the game that I can remember. once early on and once in the postgame in her school questline. I remember in the second instance she was kind of embarrassed/self hating about it so it's probably just to give her a flaw.
I do wish they did more with it though, when she was revealed I thought her glove would be to help with some motor disability due to that detail being one of the only things revealed about her.
