Every design, including the school principal was basically reused from his other stories. For example, Rengoku no Ashe feature a character who looks exactly like Anya. Wholesome characters like Anya and Bond are the sorts of characters he would never write naturally so there is a joke in the manga that Axeman wants to kill off characters or reveal twists early while his editor Lin wants to tease the plot a lot more. Fun fact, Lin also edits CSM so he must be quite good at context switching. The actual statement that he feels no attachment to these characters is in an interview.
