I think he mentioned Dragon Quest once, probably in his Zelda II video. And mentioned FF6. So he does know RPG's, but they're not anything he'd really want to talk about.

Most of his early videos were shit he was into. You can tell what his interests were, this is guy who's into movies, loves horror, big Godzilla fan, and shit like that.
Later on he partnered with some company and had some people over to writer his scripts, that's when you started seeing shit he'd really never showed interest in, like professional wrestling. His acting got even worse and more forced, in the older videos he'd had moments where he spoke more calmly, even his cursing has some scenes where they were more subdued. Now he looks like a highly edited youtube thumbnail trying to force out a new angry nerd moment and call it a day
