I like it because it has very fun animations and a memorable silhouette, and I also think ducks are great animals.
Moreover, I enjoy seeing the pointless rage over Quaq, it made realize the true number of closeted homos on this board who scream about penises and asses whenever they see the duck.
Minus points for the red rounded talons and not leaning more into the peacock inspiration more.

Moderately fast with good attack it gets Moxie and its signature move raises speed and deals STAB damage.

Also gets Batton Pass, which allows you to pass those buffs around.

It's an okay mon, design wise its... an acquired taste. I was thrown back a bit initially, it's a very "daring" desing specially when you see the way the pokemon has been animated, with such flamboyance.

But I do love the visuals for the signature move and after interacting and seeing the way pokemon emotes, it has grown on me.

A bit like Incineroar, he's an awkward design saved by its animations and personality.

like there have been starters that i havent liked in the past and never picked, but then i use them on a nuzlocke or something and then i find myself liking them a lot more than i thought i would, and looking at this thing, makes me think it could be the same situation

Yeah, it’s completely fine, I was the same way with Inteleon. I boxed it when the Isle of Armor DLC arrived, though, since I wasn’t that attached to it.

i actually really like it besides the toes, but his idle animation in-battle and the over the top dancing just looks too uncanny to me. I like this pose the best and i think it looks really cool in it, imo it should only use the dancing animations when attacking

In competitive? It's ok. In game? Not good enough to compensate for the way he acts.

All in all, normal people hate fags and trans. This pokemon is a fag so he is hated. Some people can find things to like on it besides the fogginess. Mostly can't.

I like it because i understand it's theme and origin of the design and i respect it, though i wish gender ratio wasn't the typical one because that duck is not suitable to be male. I'm lucky i didn't have to reset to get female duck in my run as starter.

It’s the weakest of the 3 starters, not a “bad” Pokemon by any means but he has to snowball and the general power level of S/V is too high for him to pull it off.
