I see a lot of people here shitting on Galar, and while it wasn't my favorite region (I'm a genwunner), it certainly was not the worst (that honor goes to Johto IMO)

Seriously though, Galar did a lot of things right. I'm here to list a few and would love to hear what other things you folks think Galar did better than any other region

>Pokemon League battles taking place in actual stadiums, the theatrics of it are unrivaled by any other gen

>Player characters look a lot better than some other regions (Red is still king though)

>Introduced many interesting Pokemon designs, regional dex was pretty alright

>Bea

>Marnie

>Leon, although I am not a fan, gave the ability for the anime to provide Ash with closure

>Starters are pretty decent compared to s ome other gens - you can pick between a sports star rabbit, a dark donkey kong, or a james bond lizard

>Box legendaries are great (you have to be North Korean to not love dogs, and even they do just in a different way)

>Eternatus is a cool design, one of the more "epic" cataclysmic events involving a legendary

>Most Galarian forms were cool, especially seeing the legendary birds reimagined

Overall, when I look back at Galar it wasn't that bad. I am enjoying Paldea but some things just feel watered down compared to Galar, particularly gyms and the fact they give you your legendary right away so it removes a lot of suspense
