The anime had some charm and comedy in kanto and orange island. Johto had a few decent episodes. The rest of the anime is complete dogshit. Some of the movies are pretty good though like pokemon heroes

Shitton of uninteresting filler, story arcs like the GS ball get introduced and then forgotten. Too many characters/Pokémon get brought back from Kanto but do nothing. Battle scenes only start getting good at the Silver conference.
