Haven't played a Pokemon game since B/W, so I'm slightly out of the loop.

That aside, SV is more traditional and has stuff above Legends, but Legends is experimental and unique in other ways and some parts weren't really surpassed by SV.
Even if you tell me you can only get one, I would still tell you to play both, they are very different Pokemon experiences.

Thats a tough one. I guess it depends on your wants. You want a traditional Pokémon game, get SV. You want an adventure game with some Pokémon mechanics, get LA.

Scarlet/Violet is the best mainline game of the 3D era, it's revolutionary for the franchise in a lot of ways, but Arceus has a lot more fanart of its girls with their pubes out. It's a tough call.

I played thru SV and started PLA right after and I'm about 30% in
PLA is either significantly better or at least slightly better in every single area except for the lack of multiplayer but you've got showdown for that
It's honestly fucking embarrassing

If you’re going for the game that incorporates an organic feel of progression with polished, satisfying gameplay then Legends Arceus is the clear winner.

Though if you want the more satisfying epilogue and online battles go for Scarlet/Violet. Neither Arceus nor Scarlet has any real postgame challenges.
