I never seen anyone say that this is their favorite Pokemon. It didn't make it in the Top 30 Kanto in that Pokemon of the Year poll.

I wonder why none of the construction worker NPCs has a Tinka, especially with the line naturally having Metalworking skills, Contruction skills, and Superstrength, you'll think they'll be shoeing for Paldea's version of Machamps.
But Tinkas aren't used by any NPCs at all except for just Poppy.

I love machamp and it's one of my friends #1 favorite pokemon so it's definitely someone's favorite, I can promise you firsthand , but they definitely shill it for more than it's worth.
like people said though it's just a pokemon who visually fits situations well, so it ends up being used often in anime and stuff like being the boulder pusher in SM.
Also shouldn't need an explanation why its in pokken.

Machamp conveys the Fighting type theme conceptually and visually so it's naturally used as a poster boy throughout the years but it isn't actually shilled the same way Blaziken, Gardevoir, Gengar, etc. are because they don't want Lucario to be overshadowed. Others already said it but it is begging to get a viable buff. Its dynamax form is garbage and is not even close to the buffs other gen 1 or favorites got in the past decade or so

When I was 17 I was a machoke to a costume party because machamp would be too much work
I covered myself in body paint and wore a speedo

But I didn't know everyone brought a change of clothes so after an hour everyone was normal and I was still walking around dressed like an asshole

Neither did the Mach line until RS, before that the dex only mentions how much it boasts about its strength, and usually the Mach line are shown as bullies in the anime anyways.

The Durr line is the only ones who started off benevolent, and I don't think they were ever shown as bullies in the anime as well.

We know so little about the Tinka line, besides they are super strong, they build shelters out of scrap metal, they can craft hammers(and maybe other things) out of metal, they collect scrap metal, they attack Steel type Pokemon like Bisharp and Corviknight, their favorite game is Duck Hunt, and they steal things.
And with no NPCs having any Tinkas or any interactable Tinkas, we don't know how they really act in a domesticated scenario.
I'm hoping the anime will give more information about the Tinka line, cause so far, the dex entry sets them up to be dangerous menaces who just cause trouble just because they can which makes them sounds no different from the Grimmsnarl line.
They can't just be Troublemakers just because right?

There was that episode of X and Y where Ursaring and Conkledurr tricked a Machamp into fighting a Hawlucha. And we've seen plenty of fighting types help out in construction.

Machoke has also been moving cargo in Goldenrod Department store basement. The Machamp line has been canonically involved with helping humans in hard labor long before Conkeldurr debuted. The Pokemon movie even introduced a Machamp directing traffic.

Them being fairies and causing mayhem puts Tinka line directly in Grimmsnarl territory unless we significantly see otherwise. The difference from the two fighting lines is just too stark. Not to mention Paldea lacks the "helpful muscular mon" archetype. Hariyama is there but it's not commonly depicted to help in labor

Well I do agree the Tinkas seem lacking in purpose, and their weapons seem to evoke Conk line. We just haven't seen enough at this point for me to consider it. Other pokemon like Vigoroth and Carkoal have filled the niche in other types of labor. Machop and Timburr line just also have the added similarities of types, family evo method, ability, etc.
