If you have them, and the opponent does too, then you destroy them. Let alone if they don't.
If you don't have them, and the opponent does, then you have to resort to gay cheese strats to overturn what basically amounts to stat inflation. That's the thing - Clover's teams aren't actually very well built, they just have very high stats.
It's not even like you can make cool builds with them. Sweepers always go 252 in their offense stat and speed, tanks pick defensive/offensive stat they're good in, and you might see some variance in pure defense Pokemon. But overall they contribute little to actual strategy and don't make gameplay more fun for the player or AI unless you like faggot cheese shit.
