I have pretty similar theories actually. I think he really does only have one parent and was either a weird science experiment or wished into existence or some bullshit. I can also very well imagine that he will be some sort of catalyst for the disc legendary, just like his parent was. Clavell said he's really similar to their parent in his enthusiasm, so that might mean that it aligns with the legendary the same was his parent did.
As much as I love Arven, I kinda what to see what kind of fucked up shit they could put him though...

There's an offhand remark about "that woman" in Violet. So while it would have been exceptionally good for him to be a wishbaby, he's probably just a regular baby since it sounds like the other professor still exists in the other game.

The thing is that "that woman/man" is never named. In fact, it's very strange that the professor refers to them like that instead of "my wife/husband/partner" or something. Maybe it was just their autism cause everything they write sounds like a scientific paper but it could also mean that it's a red herring and does not actually refer to the other parent.
It's all just schizo theories really, but I think it's plausible enough.

Now who the fuck exactly is "she"?
Let's assume this is the AI speaking. That would make sense, it means that "she" is the real Sada. But why would she follow up with talking to Arven? She didn't have an emotional response to him before (during calls etc) at all. Why now?
Next, let's assume this is whatever was left of the real Sada. But then who is "she" and why did she want to stop her? Did the AI lie to us? Did she have some sort of multiple personality disorder?

I can't really make any sense out of it.

Consider that if the AI professor is actually a crystalline being created by the disc entity drawing on the professor's wishes, then it's likely the paradox pokemon are the same way, and even moreso all the raid pokemon are too. When raid pokemon "disappear somewhere" the crystal dust that comprises them dissipates, and the idea of the pokemon fades

I took it as the AI getting confused and muddling its own thoughts with the professor’s memories, resulting in a weird amalgamation of the professor’s mind before they went completely insane. Basically like a resurfacing of the past professor that wasn’t so obsessive. The AI definitely seems to be having trouble separating itself from the original’s memories.

Personally, I think the third legendary has something to do with the greedy king that wanted the power from the crater, so what if the king was just using a round about way to get a stronger vessel potentially for sort of like an immortal lifespan (and Arven is the vessel)

I mean, there's is quite an emphasis on that story, and the weird disk thing does have a crown. What if in the same way the ruinous Pokemon came to be (grudges, dread, resentment, etc. "bad" feelings coming together to create a new being), the King's greed got reincarnated in the form of a Pokemon that can get anything it wants (fulfilling any desire)?

That's some of the holes in the imagination/wish theory. You can apply the question to the paradox mons and herba mystica too. But honestly, the fact that the AI couldn't leave is actually pretty suspicious. Crystals can be taken out and tera energy had been leaking out, so it shouldn't be impossible.

Correct. The thing that makes it makes sense is what hinges on how the AI is trapped in the crystal because IRL tech can't make an AI robot like itself. So it would cease functioning.
Probably not completely, but the ability to move as it does, definitely.

I don’t have much to contribute to this thread other than that I think the supposed land border is an unintentional red herring, and that there is a reason for the third legendary not being seen while the party treks to the bottom of Area Zero. The crater was never its home in the first place.

Personally I'm on hopium that GF finally decided to have more time between each new game release, and will release multiple DLCs to pad the time between the games.
It's pretty weak hopium.
But assuming it does come true, it would be cool to have a continuing storyline that connects the land border and Area Zero without rushing things.

My belief is it can't leave because it's been "programmed" to believe it cannot leave because the Professor was so angry about all the other people leaving, rather than because it being literally physically trapped. Paradoxes, Tera crystals and Herba Mystica all have no issues existing outside of Area zero.

What OP described isn't a limit on the crystals, it's effectively the opposite - the idea is that things created by the crystals do NOT need to stay in Area Zero/near the crystals in order to continue to exist. The AI just incorrectly believes it needs to stay in Area Zero.
