Not necessarily a "type", but give Acid moves a special interaction that makes them super effective against Steel instead of completely useless. They did it with Thousand Arrows and Freeze Dry, why not this?

Alternatively, change the ability Corrosion so that Poison-type moves will just work regularly on Steel types. Right now it lets you inflict poison via status, but Poison-type damaging moves are still ineffective and it makes zero sense.

Air is flying.
Light is already psychic or fairy.
Two dark types would be too confusing and ghost types already fill that role with shadow attacks.
Sound type is interesting and probably the only one with merit. There are a good few normal type moves that could be reworked for sound type but I can't imagine how it would fare in a type matchup. I'd make sound super effective against water and psychic and weak to bug and ground. Everything else probably neutral.

Sorry, wind is now a category of moves like sound. We're never getting those as types. The only ones I think are possible are Food and Dog, both of which would be funny.

The one single type that would both make sense in terms of how much existing Pokemon could adopt it as well as not overlap substantially with pre-existing types is Sound but even then, Sound-type would take like 90% of all Normal Special moves, in addition to raising even more questions regarding other moves. (How would non-Sound type Sound moves like Bug Buzz, Disarming Voice, Clanging Scales, etc. work? Is Throat Chop still balanced if it can completely delete a type from the game? Should Punk Rock be changed to be more akin to Steelworker? Etc.)

Acid needs to be buffed once again. It makes no sense it has just 10% to drop deffence.
It should have been 50% and work on DEFFENCE (for some reason they changed it for sp Deffence.
