The world of PLA looks like dogshit, but the character, Pokemon, and even the building interiors/exteriors genuinely look better than SVs somehow. PLA was really able to make effective use of toon shading to give itself a unique aesthetic that really felt in-line with Pokemons artstyle, while SV makes everyone look like weird Sims 4 creations.

I love both because they’re both huge steps in the right direction for the series. The fact that SV is in such a sorry state yet is still WAY more fun than the past few Gens have been is a testament to how badly handholding was poisoning the Franchise
